I know I might be late to the party on this one but I picked up a VL Giggity recently and I have to say...while I know this box won't be something for everybody it is a super cool and unique unit with a lot of cool tones inside.
It is not a transparent boost in any way so if that's what you want just stop reading here! However in addition to huge tonal changes it can be set to be fairly subtle if that's what you want.
The Giggity is more of a unit to transform your guitar into something different...a unit to transform your amp into a different amp or something to just shape your tone into something different and/or more useful than it is right now.
The tone shaping ability with the Giggity is pretty amazing plus it does have built in grit....it's not just a EQ, you can get some cranked amp grind form it and best of all it stacks like no other pedal I have ever tried...you can run Overdrives, boosters, distortion or fuzz pedals into the Giggity w/o loosing the character of the pedal you're stacking while benefiting from the EQ section and/or grit from the Giggity.
Really a great addition to you rig if you want another completely different sound or if you want to maybe tweak your existing sound a bit.
