Voodoo Lab Giggity

Re: Voodoo Lab Giggity

Interesting. I just started looking into a board for the Blue Angel and the Giggity has gotten my attention a long with the Sparkle Drive Mod. I love the amp, but it is a little limited in it's capabilities, so a handful of pedals are going to be a must for it.

Re: Voodoo Lab Giggity

you should send it to me so i can revel in its wonderful glory

Re: Voodoo Lab Giggity

I too have it and love it.

I started using it as a preamp to add sorta angry and throaty channel to my amp. Then, the thing grew on me as an "unboost". That is I am setting my 1987 clone with a vol around 7-8. So I get that to die for Marshall lead tone from the amp (am also using an Xotic EP, but anyways...). Giggity is set clean and to reduce the volume. And it does that, and adds some shimmer and when I hit it, the tone cleans up much better than rolling off the volume either on the guitar or on the amp or both. So this thing is very cool!

My only complaint is that I cannot dial off some of the bass. With my particular use, my metal panel clone is already giving me a lot of bass also from my 1960V cab. So I would like to shave off some of that bass when playing clean. This I could not do yet...

Re: Voodoo Lab Giggity

Thanks to the generous spirit of tgwif, I have his Giggity on loan for a bit. I gave it a run through tonight, just with guitar and amp. Will experiment more fully over the next few days and then I have a couple of test recording ideas in mind. :)
