Vox AC30 blew fuse... any ideas as to how come?

My rhythm guitarist's Vox AC30 blew the fuse located just under the power cord input this afternoon during rehearsal. No noise, no smoke, nothing burned, all tubes show no visible signs of damage. Tubes maybe 6 months old or so... anyone got any ideas as to what blew it out?

Re: Vox AC30 blew fuse... any ideas as to how come?

From what I hear - it's a very common issue, and the best thing to do would be to replace it and move on. AC30s are notorious for having issues like this - I believe (though am not entirely sure/trained on the subject) that it stems from the AC30s running very hotly, and in close proximity to the fuse.

Could have been a power spike too. It happens from time to time with any amp.

Mkay... would it make any difference if I said it was plugged into a power conditioner when it happened?

Yep. It would. Don't know what to tell you bout that, but I'll bet it can still occasionally happen with an otherwise healthy amp from time to time.
