Vox AC4

Is it worth it? Not reading too many good reviews. Am I able to attach it to my ext cab? With Black Friday coming up, there's a chance this thing might be 65-75 dollars, worth it?

I love mine for practicing around the house. Avoid the Mini though. (Which is what I have) the 6.5" speaker just doesn't sound that great.

You can run it into an extension cab. This will bypass the onboard speaker. Which is what I have done with mine from time to time. Running it through a 10" or 12" makes a big difference.

4 watts sounds great. Had surprisingly more headroom than I expected.

1 watt is darker. Still usable.

1/4 watt... Stay away from it. I rarely, if ever, use it.

It has a Vox-ish chime.

It can be kind of dark at times. And the dirty tones can sound fizzy.


I think it would be a good addition. Fun to play with. Fun for another tone to have around the house for recording. Plus it lookds nice and classy!

I think the black friday deal at MF or GC is for the mini which is what the OP is talking about?

I have the AC4. It's fun but I agree with beggar. gets kinda fizzy although sometimes that can be part of the fun.

I bet that would be cool. I've considered giving a Class 5 a shot. I've got no need for it though.
