Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

This rebate is through Vox directly

It should not be baked into the price

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

I saw the Vox site and the rebates but I was told by the Sweetwater reps that it was excluded from the rebate. That's why I wanna talk to someone at Vox. I don't see why they would bull**** me at Sweetwater. Vox has a NY phone # that I can call. I'll know on Monday what's up.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

Glad I found this forum post (just joined to post in this thread :oo) I too am wondering if there is any way to actually nab a Night Train for 2 bills, which would be the deal of the century.

Unfortunately I get the feeling that Sweetwater is factoring in the rebate already. The Sweetwater page for the Lil Night Train (link here) actually mentions a rebate, so it's not like they don't know about the Vox rebates obviously.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

ok. for no reason I'm frustrated on this one

if you go to sweetwater, you can buy it for $299

then you send in the VOX rebate directly to VOX and get $100 back

if you go to sweetwater and add the LIL Night train to your cart, it is $249. They mention the mail in rebate and bake it into their price discount but you pay on it upfront as expected

for the Night train, it is $299 in the cart, right now.

Unless Sweetwater has a super weird only for this one product with VOX do we honor the rebate up front only deal then I am pretty sure you're good.

nowhere on the rebate form on the VOX site does it say you cannot get your $100 directly from them if you but it at Sweetwater

(it does say stuff about musician's friend & GC which is funny cause if you download the rebate form from the MF site that language is not there and you're all good)

At $299 or $199 I'd say that's still a great deal for that amp. The Night Train is far more than a one trick pony (as are the AC15 and AC30 for that matter). And considering that the NT used to sell for about $500 USD street I'd say the fact that you can get it for $299 is a steal to be honest had it been that cheap a year ago when I got the Tweaker for my business I probably would've done the NT instead.

The NT is cool because it really captures the essence of the AC15 you can go from great chimey cleans to nice moderate dirt tones to all out mayhem (and when you engage the thick mode you really do get mayhem). IMHO it's one of the best lunch box heads out there. I'm a huge fan of Vox I've played them my whole career.

Doesn't really fill a need I have currently though I really need a Fender amp as I have an Orange and Vox already. My workshop has a Tweaker and an Excelsior.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

Ok, I've got some good news!

I emailed Vox (actually Korg) customer service and specifically asked them: if I buy a Night Train for $300 from Sweetwater, am I still eligible for a rebate? Here is their response:

"The purchase price of the products addressed in the respective rebate is not one of the specific criteria required for eligibility for the rebate.

The product simply needs to be purchased as new, and the rebate materials submitted, within the dates specified in the terms and conditions provided on the rebate coupon.

Please remember to retain copies of any materials you submit as part of your rebate entry."

The Sweetwater guy was definitely confused. This is straight from Vox, so I'm not so skeptical anymore, seems like it all checks out.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

I have a VOX Night Train and I love it! My band-mates call it "The Toaster"....

For $200 I'm tempted to buy a second and run them in stereo!

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

Wow,owned one for a couple months. Ran it stereo with my tiny terror and the vox was a bit dull sounding. Didn't have it 2 months before I sold it.

Still a great deal though. I bought mine for $400 and sold it for $400.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

I finally spoke with someone at Vox and got things cleared up. The nt15 will be $200 after the rebate. I ordered one from Sweetwater

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

I'm still at the I'll believe it when I see it point but I pulled the trigger anyway and hopefully it will all work out.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

I ordered one yesterday, got the shipping confirmation a little while ago. At $250, even if the rebate doesn't go through, I couldn't pass it up.

That's how I feel. I will probably buy one with the assumption that the rebate won't go through as $250 is still a great deal. And knock on wood, if the rebate does work, that's just the icing on the cake.

Let us know how your rebate situation plays out. Unless of course it takes more than 6-8 weeks, because then it will already be 2013, and too late to partake in the rebate.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

SH*T! Look at Sweetwater's rebate form...they nixed the Night Train 15...you can only do it for the 50W and 2W versions. So there is no rebate, at least from Sweetwater. Maybe I shouldn't have gone to every corner of the internet and blabbed about it, they probably saw these threads and this is their reaction.

Re: Vox Night Train for $200. pretty sweet!

I saw these at Sweetwater for that price and am FIGHTing myself NOT to get one...
Please talk me out of it... Have a 15 watt Tweaker already. Is there much diff tween them to warrant the purchase?

If the rebate was being honored, I Def woulda grabbed one..
