STRATDELUXER97
Stratoblaster Tone Meister
Curly and I have been spending alot of time lately figuring out what makes a wah great...
I picked up this recent Vox 847 off E Bay and bought a spare board to tweak..Curly let me borrow his Teese RMC1 last week...This wah is my attempt at getting the same vibe as Curly's wah...I say "vibe" as I don't have Teese's inductor and pot in the equation...This wah is all about the strat player....Full sounding, smooth,no shrillness in the highs and a built in "boost" circuit that gives the wah it's balls...
Check out a Teese RMC1 Board here...Scroll down to the big board photo and compare mine to his board..Mine isn't an exact copy, but it's voiced with that vibe in mind..

The wah is complete now with my power supply board so I can run a 9v adapter, true bypass via a Fulltone 3DPDT switch..Fulltone pot, fulltone inductor, big upgraded caps, metal film resistors, tweaks to the board to get the wah to meet my fussy requirements...This is just to give you an idea of what can be done with the Vox 847s....This is a very vocal wah and I like the way it turned out..Thought I'd share it with you all..
