VPAF lovers...

Re: VPAF lovers...

I find them a touch bright in the bridge and I can never really tell if the VHOT is enough to fix the problem as I have not gigged with the VHOT bridge

I have done the TZ and VPAF and felt hmmm VPAF bridge with Air Zone would be a way to go. The AZ fattens things up.

I had a silhouette special which has pups similar the VPAF in the bridge and it recorded and gigged AMAZINGLY!

I have done the Air Norton and VPAF and didn't like it, they sounded too similar, the Air Norton being too polite and almost neck-like in the bridge.

Re: VPAF lovers...

I have a VPAF/VV 2.1/VV 2.1 set in a Hamer Centaura (alder superstrat). I had a really tough time finding a humbucker that blended well with the 2.1s, and the VPAF does a really good job. Not too bright or too dark or too hot or too mild, it's the Baby Bear pickup for this situation.
