Wah Not?? aka. 5 mins of wailing, noise & squeals w/ my Crybaby from hell.

5 more mins of the same minus the wah cus it's a fun track to just jam out to. One of those you can just go and and on with endlessly...

I'm all about having fun when I play ....or why even bother? :bigthumb:

And w/ my Randall. I had the Sustainiac on right through for this one as opposed to switching it on and off when I want it like I usually do. It's pretty tricky to control this way and involves a lot of muting & stuff. Tapping can get crazy cuz you can't let open strings ring out. . When a note starts sustainining it mutes the other notes your trying to play until you mute the sustaining note and move on to something else..so hitting open strings will just mute everything else you're trying to tap (happens here at the start of the first tapping sequence) . Like I said ..tricky, but the kind of tricky I like & enjoy cuz it involves actually playing/learning a practical skill/technique on your instrument ....ie. my kind of learning :bigthumb:

That was friggin' awesome. Is that your band, or a backing track? (The 1st track. I didn't read every word.)

Thanks!

Nope just me jamming over a simple 4 chord backing track I got off YT like I usually do (if it was my band they'd have to be a pretty patient & accomodating bunch lol)

They're all the same track just different jams/solo's :bigthumb:

Short version with clearer/less boxy mids.

The two mids knobs (mid + mid-sweep) can make it a bit tricky to dial in (esp. when coupled w/ the density/presence knobs), but if you find the sweet spot it sounds great and there are a lot of tonal options to be had as a result...

This sweet Creamback 65 1x12 has been out on the sidelines for a while...time to fix that :bigthumb:

With my Randall & Schecter...

It has a killer big tone ..not small or boxy sounding at all :bigthumb:

And cuz I'm a completist...another short jam with the other 1x12 ($35 75W EHX driver...sort of like a G12T75) & different eQ on the amp...this one's great for ze squeelies :bigthumb:

And in keeping with the "why not?" theme of this thread..

My Bugera 333XL Infinium through my 6505 4x12 (2 x stock Sheffield driver's + 2 x WGS ET65's ...mic'd in stereo w/ SM57/e906)

And the Randall w/ the creamback cab again (this time on Lead 1 w/ less delay/reverb) cuz I like that tone but overdid the del/rev last time.

Lead 1 on the Randall is more British/Marshally sounding & Lead 2 (boost channel) is a smoother US-style sound.

Have'nt jammed anything on this baby for a while ...so I thought to myself "Why not"?

It's a combo so just the stock speaker mic'd w/ my Sennheiser e906

Only problem w/ that ^^ combo is almost impossible to see where the mic's going. The grill cloth is too thick and opaque even w/ a flashlight :(

So it's just guesswork....

And the same thing w/ the Crybaby from hell.. (adjusted the mic position a bit..but still guessing lol)

AMT Stonehead into my camo Laney Pulse PM12S 4x12.

Used my Charvel so pinched harmonics instead of the Schecter's Sustainiac wailing ..still a pretty raunchy squeal-fest :bigthumb:

The Pulse driver's are totally concave (no bulging dustcap) & look pretty sweet/can be clearly seen through the Laney's metal front grill..I'm sure I've seen some other newer guitar speaker's that are concave like that... Emi's or Celestion's can't remember which.

Better mic placement.. The concave "dutcap" is about 3 1/2 inches across nd I had my SM57 just inside the outer edge of it..

Also this ones on the Lead 2 channel & the last one was w/ Lead 1...

Lead 2 is warmer/fatter & also has a rotary knob to make the whole thing darker or brighter & Lead 1 is sharper/brighter.

This way you can have Lead 2 pretty much match Lead 1 or have it be different & do it's own thing..

Orange Super Crush 100 w/ the Laney Pulse 4x12 & Charvel for more squealing sweetness :bigthumb:

I have to say this cheap $200 cab sounds friggin' nuts w/ the Pulse's ..a huge improvment over the stock Laney's (which did'nt even seem to be HH's). In fact it just flat out sounds awesome now...as good as anything I've ever used..

A straight up comparison between the $35 Pulse PM12S speaker's in my Laney 4x12 (mic'd w/ an SM57) & the $180 Celsetion V30's in my Laney 2x12 (mic'd with a Sennheiser e906)

Obviously the mic's and cab configurations are different....but it still sounds pretty damn close ..almost identical :bigthumb:

Laney 2x12 w/ V30's:

Laney 4x12 w/ Pulse's

Another 5 mins of fast, tuneless, dissonant, clashing notes..

EDIT:

And since they are pretty sweet tuneless dissonant clashing notes that, eh. lets face it... anyone would be more than proud to produce the likes of :lmao:

I thought a nice Epic video to go w/ it would be nice.. so here we go :bigthumb:
