Wah Suggestions

Re: Wah Suggestions

I'm going to re-iterate as previously stated, the 404 for me is instant mud.

It's not that way for me at all. With all of the various options, I found it easy to sculpt a tone that worked for me. Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you, but I'm glad that you found something that works for you.

Re: Wah Suggestions

I’m a Fulltone Clyde man myself. I had a Thomas Organ CryBaby for years - in my closet. When I bought the Clyde, I actually kept it plugged in.

I'm curious, did you keep the pedals trim pots and all that in stock position? No matter how I tweak it, I can't find a single usable sound.

Re: Wah Suggestions

My favorite wah I've tried was actually the Crybaby mini in the Vintage mode (I think). Loved that sound, never felt I wanted to tweak it. I find with my 535Q that I'm never quite happy with it because the option to tweak was there and I never stopped doing so. Don't even have a wah on my board anymore but if I did it would be the mini again.

I got mine used and did minimal tweaking, then haven't touched it since then. I honestly couldn't tell you how far from stock it is.
