Waiting For a Mod That is Never Done?

I sent my fender amp chassis off for some mods on August 12th and it still is not done yet. I was told that it would take about 6 to 8 weeks, now it is going on 17 weeks. I dont know if I should just keep on being patient or start calling more, it sure sucks not having your main amp.

What do you guys think?

Funny you started this thread. I got my amp back from the shop today. I was quoted 4-5 weeks but it was 11 weeks before it was done.

uh, 4 months is a bit long

I expect folks to give an honest estimate, then finish in a timely manner.
Frankly, you've let it slip a little. I'd suggest that you contact them and speak honestly, openly, and firmly, and find out what's up.

I feel that if they can't get it done in this much time, I'd have little faith that they're a good tech.

personally, I'm kind of curious, and I'd like to see you tell us who it is, so no one else gets in the same spot.

If you contact me, I'll give you info on the best tech I know.

I realy dont want to say who it is ,because I know his mom has been in the hospital and things like that. I just am getting a little tired of waiting and just sold my backup amp. I know not to bright , but I wanted to make sure I had enough money to pay when it is finally done. I am hopeing I'll get I good "patience discount".

GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT. I had better sound like SRV on the first strum.
