I sent an email to support through the SD website but have not heard back... I was hoping someone here can help. Here is what I put in my support request.
Hello,
I called your support guys earlier this week about a possible issue with a Seymour Duncan Invader Bridge Pickup
The box is labeled SH8-B (which is what was purchased). I explained to the gentleman on the phone, that I am only reading 8 ohms on my meter when the pickup was installed in the guitar.
Per my conversation with the gentleman on your support line (which I wrote down his name) he said I should be reading 16 ohms. As a test, I disconnected the pickup and took new readings with my meter set to 20K ohms setting
Black to White measures 8 ohms
Red to Green measures 8 ohms
Black and Green tied together
Red and White Tied together
Is reading 4 ohms
The gentleman on the phone said I should be reading 16 ohms when measuring
Black and Green tied together
Red and White Tied together
but as I said I am only reading 4
I tried every combination and I cant get 16ohms from the pickup. Any idea what is wrong?
