I think you'd really like the Focusrite mate.

The studio I sometimes work in has a Focusrite Pre-amp and a Compressor and they're really nice pieces of kit.

I raised the action on my Gordon Smith today and it improved things for me no end, so maybe Nuntius' idea of raising the action slightly wasn't so bad an idea?

It's not a guitar issue; it's not even a tone issue, per se. My tone is awesome. The issue is just trying to thicken it up a bit to match the CD.

I know he was being a Chav mate, but still maybe it's something to consider No offence to Nuni btw

I still say get a semi decent EQ in the FX loop of your Rivera and see how it goes

I'm in total agreement, Brow ... looks like the Lanegin Pultec EQ it is!
Manely makes one, too, but then we're back into the $4k range for an EQ. I can get another Wayne for that much money.

The Langevin certainly looks like the Pultec .. same simplified, 4-knob layout.
I'll check it ou!

When and if you get an P-EQ, can you give a mini-reveiw? I've been looking at other options to the Furman I'm using now, but haven't been getting many responces to various posts on different forums.

Of course, mate.
Since I used an original Western Electric Pultec in the studio, I think that the Langevin may be the ultimate 'compromise'.

Ah yes, that. Man, it's nice having a tech!
It's definitely gonna be either the JCM800 or the Rivera; I'll let you know the pedals & such once I have it all sorted.

Brow + I have been having regular therapy sessions about his band situation.

TO will be getting back together for our 1st rehearsal on March 9th; I've started teaching myself the solos from the album now ... man, they're hard! LOL

We finished mixing last Saturday, and then I spent the last week getting pissed every day! Great way to celebrate!!
