I got a cheap Tele clone and it plays great and sounds terrible. I want a loud twangy quacking bridge pickup, the SD 54 Tele sound clips on this site sound about right. But I spent all my limited spare cash on the guitar so any upgrades have to be cheap. I have a line on a neck pickup but need a bridge pickup.
I don’t care about brand, color, specs etc.; the only thing that matters is the sound (and needs to be cheap). What do you have lying around unused? It almost has to be better than the cheapest Chinese pickup this thing came with.
