Warmoth/Ibanez compatability

Will an Ibanez Wizard neck fit on a Warmoth body? I'm aware that the holes won't line up, but will it physically fit? If it doesn't sell, I wanna use the neck from my RG570 on a new body.

not sure, i doubt it. warmoth stuff uses a fender neck pocket, im assuming a 24 fret ibanez neck wont fit well in the pocket, only way to find out is to try it

Yeah, I want to get a warmoth RR style V body and put my wizard neck on it but I have no idea if it will fit.

So if anybody knows please let JB nad I know.

I asked them if Warmoth necks fit an Ibanez body - they said no. Logic would say it wouldn't work the other way around either

Although you could E-Mail them just to make sure

JB, does you Ibanez neck have a standard neck heal? I looked a pictures of Ibanez necks and the Ibanez 550 necks look very much like a Fender heal. Do you have a digital camera and a tape measure?

I looked on Ebay and the 570's seem to have the sculpted heels. I am not sure if it will work or not.

Let's say hypothetically that the Warmoth pocket is not as deep as the Ibanez. Would it be possible to alter the Warmoth body so the Wizard neck fit?

Yes you can deepen the neck pocket. You will need a good plunge router and template bits and a little skill.

They're both 25.5"

How would it be any more of a massacre than routing a Strat to use a 'bucker?

Buy one of those body blanks that have everything pre-routed. Send it to JohnJohn, with your neck.

Or see if they'll sell you a body without the neck pocket routed out, then send it to him .
