Warmoth project done!

Ok i got all the parts last november, between ordering pup's from England getting the body painted black, then doing the art for the airbrusher to do.....
its finally done!
All Warmoth parts except the bridge and pickups...
Raw Alder body
Maple/Maple AAA flame neck, side dots, no face dots
SS frets, tryed the 6115 wire, really liking it
Graptec nut
Planet waves tuners
All Switchcraft switches etc...
Hipshot hardtail bridge
Pups-Bareknuckle MiracleMan set. (ceramic mag bridge-A5 mag neck)

I have decided to make my own guitars, maybe 12 a year so i have badged this Warmoth with my Name/logo etc... ScapeGoat Guitars. I have access to a 5-Axis CNC router and have 2 CAD files ready to go in the next few weeks. Kiln drying the wood as we speak. (most guitars will be made out of Black Walnut) Ok, so ive laser etched the Pups, top of the volume knob and the neckplate, let me know your thoughts on how it comes accross.
I guess i could rabble on for ages, but i guess some pics would be more interesting for you all. Sorry pic quality not the hottest! I am a bit of a metalhead so the finish, specs may not be to everyones liking.
But in a nut shell, it came out awesome, plays and sounds astounding!

Feel free to ask me anything.

:eek2:

Oh, Mike (XSSIVE), looks like there's some friendly competition for coolest forum guitars. :laugh2:

Dude, that is just plain HOT! :omg: That finish is just awesome.

Re: Warmoth project done!

Thanks all, Erik, yeah was hoping for some imput from XSSIVE as i value his thoughts.... as i do his work on his clones, way cool.

It plays better than i though it would to be honest, the action is amazing, low, flat and no buzz... SS frets are my new love..... i'll never go back!

Upside down?..... i have the logos on both pups going the same way, reading from the bottom righthandside going up. Just the way i like it.

Re: Warmoth project done!

WOW! Amazing guitar man that finish is stunning.

Enjoy it !

Re: Warmoth project done!

That's a nifty piece of work! I really like the neck wood figure and how the black on the tuners ties nice to the body.

Shread proud on that puppy!

Re: Warmoth project done!

amazing guitar , and nice "logo" :D
I wonder if it plays and sounds as good as it looks... I hope it does:D
cheers , enjoy playing it.

Re: Warmoth project done!

Even as one who is into classic plain looking guitars, THAT'S FREAKING AWSOME! :D :D

Superb work!

Re: Warmoth project done!

Thanks all for the kind words..... And Shibby for mentioning the logo!.... Would like your opinions on it. Pleasing... arkward.... cool..... average. etc...

If anyone was wondering, the red paint on the art was done in House of Color
red candys, and red fine grain metallics so i the sun it goes nuts!

Re: Warmoth project done!

I can't find a thing on that I don't like. Well done!

Re: Warmoth project done!

Not again!

More GAS.

It was enough that we have Xssive here and Vinterland. Now you! lol

Nice gweethar man.

Whats the weight like?
Is the neck single truss rod or double?

Try stamped saddles in that sucker. Trust me.

Re: Warmoth project done!

you get an A+ from me man! no fretboard inlays...love it!! nice detail work with the engraving too!

very cool guitar!

-Mike

Re: Warmoth project done!

real nice guitar! top notch stuff. And a really well realised look, too.

Are you using black walnut in future for tonal reasons? -the last walnut guitar I played had that 70s boat anchor midrange...
