Warmoth project done!

Re: Warmoth project done!

That is the neck I've been looking for. No inlays, dots on side, nice grain, big ass frets, looks really tight.

FYI: You have one mistake, you date is backwards  (Fricken Euro's):laugh2:

+1

I love the plain fretboard with the dots on the side, the deep grain, and the big frets. The airbrush work, finish and etching are just fabulous. A simple yet beautiful work of art. That's sure to inspire you to make amazing music, bro. Congrats!

Re: Warmoth project done!

now that is what i call i nice custom guitar!!!!!! love the airbrush work, the flame maple neck looks great!!!!

Re: Warmoth project done!

looks great!! If you have the capability to put the "sg/69" thingy logo on the 12th fret on the fretboard on the ones you are making that would be really cool.

I prefer Hipshot trems myself. But I'm sure the hardtail is great for staying in tune and such. I also like roller nuts over others.

Re: Warmoth project done!

Thanks all, Erik, yeah was hoping for some imput from XSSIVE as i value his thoughts.... as i do his work on his clones, way cool.

It plays better than i though it would to be honest, the action is amazing, low, flat and no buzz... SS frets are my new love..... i'll never go back!

Upside down?..... i have the logos on both pups going the same way, reading from the bottom righthandside going up. Just the way i like it.

I've been using SS frets for about 3 years now and would rather be shot than go back!

Can't believe more people haven't caught on and that regular companies have been forced to use them to keep up with demand...John Suhr & Tom Anderson it seems are the only semi-mainstream companies that seem to actually care about their customers :usa1:

BTW, I'd skip the Warmoth necks and give Tommy a call at USACG - Superior stuff in EVERY way.

Re: Warmoth project done!

I've got to show this to my son. I love watching his jaw drop.
Beautiful work.

Re: Warmoth project done!

might be a bit too late, but what neck back contour did you choose, and how did you ask warmoth to rout for a hipshot hardtail?

Re: Warmoth project done!

wow!very cool!I would like to have one like that ,but with 24 frets! And 6100 ss fretwire!Cheers man!Great job!

Re: Warmoth project done!

Gonna be VERY hit or miss on the Walnut...I'd suggest thinking about good ol' Mahogany or maybe some Korina ;)

Yes this may be true... just have to find a decent source for mahogany in New Zealand.... i will be trying a few different types and see how i go though.

Hey man, i just got their standard "C" shape neck back, and im liking it!
I did the bridge placement and holes. No "routing" as the strings go thru the body, so all it needs is 6 string holes and 3 bridge mounting screw holes.
Easy once you know how, or take it to your local luthier, take him all of about 20 mins to do.

Re: Warmoth project done!

justice4all.. could you please tell me the spacing between the neck bolt-on screws?.. I'm jonesing for a warmoth body for a knock-off strat neck I have so I'm wondering if the measurements coincide.. also, from your experience with warmoth are they good on returns?... that guitar is amazing btw, I can't even think of a cool logo name let alone make an awesome design for it.. it's catchy!

Re: Warmoth project done!

my god that is beautiful!!! You wanna build me one???
