FINALLY got the Warmoth working and it's AWESOME! Exactly what I wanted in every respect -- just like my Fender but with my specs.
The covered '59 in the neck I got from Stratdeluxer sounds awesome, exactly what I want my neck humbucker to sound like. Smoothe, bassy and pretty loud, perfect clean sound as far as i'm concerned...even sounds great with my DS-1, really thick, smoothe distortion, THIS close to a perfect rhythm sound...
Gotta say I'm disappointed with the DiMarzio tho. Really harsh and twangy without any chunk. I can barely get a useable distortion tone out of it, and there's hardly any crunch at all. I figured it'd sound raunchier than this, maybe it'll surprise me tomorrow when i can crank my Bassman...
So yeah, if anybody's considering a Warmoth, consider this one more thumbs-up. Now I just need a crunchier, bassier bridge pickup...do they have one that sounds like a '59 with a huge mids boost?
