Warning: Blue guitar thread!

Re: Warning: Blue guitar thread!

Man, what a fine collection of blue here. I've been considering blue of some sort for my next build and this thread certainly offers up a bunch of possibilities.

Re: Warning: Blue guitar thread!

That's such a nice looking Ibby.

Thank you
The hard tail played so well, I got the floyded one
Because I just never had a Floyd before

While the flame blue RG4 is one of my best looking guitars
I almost never play it

It sounds great, stays in tune,
Just much heavier than any of the rest

Re: Warning: Blue guitar thread!

Crappy cell phone pics don't do it justice. Looks much more like the Agile above than the pics would indicate.

Oh my!! Seriously good looking axes everyone! Keep em coming. :D
Ordered cream pickup rings to complete my axe.

Fender Yngwie Strat - Sonic Blue

The scallops on this guitar really transform the feel, tone and VOLUME! And love the DiMarzios, my faves overall for hotrod or even bluesy playing.

Re: Warning: Blue guitar thread!

My second blue guitar - ESP Eclipse II. Substantially thinner and lighter than a LP Standard, but still has very girthy, powerful tones. A true hotrod. I love the 81/60 in this thick body.

The B.C. Rich Eagle below is not mine, but inspired me to finally snatch the blue ESP after years of searching in vain for a somewhat affordable blue Eagle (hint: $5500 ain't it!). And it is a true and rare beauty worthy of this thread. :D

It's hard to tell but the sparkly ones have some blue to them, especially on the 'burst edges.

Oh, those Albert Lees! *swoon*

Yah, three Albert Lees! And that Starry Night finish rocks; bet it's even more gorgeous in person. Despite the tiny neck, I love that design. Don't have a blue one tho.

And two of the Aristides ceramic guitars- I've been curious about those for years. Never had the chance to try one out. Which is probably just as well...

Re: Warning: Blue guitar thread!

My blue guitar is a guitarfetish build with lacquer paint job and the best hardware and electronics I could afford and a set of Lace Sensors that I picked up one at a time on Reverb for cheap. Not much money in it but it's mine and it plays and sounds fine.WP_20170508_17_43_59_Pro.jpg

I LOVE the ALs... just incredible guitars all-around. My first got stolen so, now, I have three... because reasons.
I am coming along to liking the sparkly one better: it's a little lighter and sounds at least equally good; a little brighter, with less power to the mids. Which also justifies keeping both of the HH ones! The SSS won't stay though, it's a little too bright for me: I like my Strats thick and juicy (it plays incredibly well and sounds gorgeous unplugged).

Those Aristides sound really loud unplugged and even better through an amp: they designed their own pickups with Bareknuckle and they complement the guitar's natural voice perfectly. Superlatively well-built and thought-out guitars.
They're not too heavy either (this is hard for me to judge: all my guitars are very light, to the point that my heaviest guitar is my headless!). Overall, a great, great design with a lot of advantages: no impact of humidity or weather, frets won't wear out (they're stainless-steel), and Arium was designed in the first place to be resonant and pleasant to the ear in its tone.
