I was checking the specs for Cory Wong's strat (mostly just curious what resistance duncan wound for him) and noticed that he has a weird setup:
Neck - 6.5k - South polarity
Mid - 6.7k - North polarity
Bridge - 13.4k - North polarity
From the polarity I thought that maybe he was using neck + mid and neck + bridge for switching options (I do something similar on one of my guitars) and the polarity would let both be hum cancelling, but further on it shows that he has pretty much regular strat switching. (There's a push-pull that disables the switch and turns on just the neck and middle, but other than that it's standard strat).
Why would he not want position 4 to be hum cancelling?
