I don't know if this is the right room to post this but recently there is something strange going on with my amp:
everytime I hit the C note (when distorted and palm muted) my amp sound like cr*p.
it sounds like the bass it too loud, and sounds really muddy
you could say the bass is turned up to high, but C isn't the lowest note, my E note does not have this.. anyone have an idea what this problem could be? (this problem just recently occured)

Re: weird

Is this a combo amp? I may have a similar situation with my Spider at loud volumes. Certain notes seem to vibrate the cabinet to a certain degree and make it "buzz" or vibrate in sympathy to the note. Sound like your problem? I just keep the thing to its normal volume capacity and it goes away.

Re: weird

It sounds like you are just getting a resonance with that chord where your amp is positioned. Try moving the amp, and it should go away.

The air pressure in a room changes depending on how close you are to the wall boundaries, etc ... and it's these irregularities that cause bumps and dips in frequency response.

The other thing that could be doing it, and is also room related, is comb filtering, which is doubtful unless you are playing in a large, irregular space, with lots of reflective surfaces ...

Re: weird

it' indeed a combo amp.... sounds like the thing hellion described(I play at normal volume though).
I 'll try moving it...
