A Line6 Spyder II with the insane channel will give pretty much that exact tone. Now for what its worth, I usually mention that amp/channel as a bit of a punchline when it comes to bad tone and/or 13 year old kids wanking in Guitar Center as its the defination of "bad" tone to my ears, but to each his own. Music is supposed to be what YOU thinks sounds good after.

Just the same, having been there/done there, I would perhaps suggest not throwing to much money at that sound because odds are that in 5 years you'll no longer consider that to be a good tone. I could be wrong and I have been before but basically ask most anyone who's been playing for 10-20years plus how their taste have changed and you'll get an idea of what I mean.

So as such, something like a Spyder II makes even better sense because it will get that tone and if/when you tire of it, your only about a few hundred dollars.

Nothing wrong with more expensive amps of course, but I'm just of the school that you only drop serious coin on a true timeless amp that will keep you happy for a lifetime. Blackface Fenders, Bassman's, Plexi's etc

Those amps will sound great when your 20, 30, 40, 50, etc Makes the cost of ownership pretty reasonable when you consider the lifetime of enjoymen they provide
