Well it isn't installed yet and i already think i've bought the wrong humbucker.

They'll balance OK in terms of output, but the 59 bridge is a lot more bright. You might be able to tame the treble a bit with 250K pots, but I can't say I've tried that combo.
I disagree. I had that combo (59 in the bridge, Phat Cat in the neck) of my Nick Catanese PRS SE, and if anything, the Phat Cat was a bit bright for the '59. Still worked great, though.

Did you get your '59 yet? You can't really make a judgement on how it can sound until it is installed in your guitar with you playing. It should sound awesome.

Nope, waiting for delivery. Then the tech will install it, so i reckon a few weeks before i get to test them.
He has loads of work, so you have to be patient but he always delivers nice work. I swap pickups in solid body,s but i dont have the patience to swap pickups in a semi.
Think i will have the 59 bridge/ Tonerider a4 neck combo installed.

I once had a 59set in a prs se, looking back at it the guitar itself was just not that good. A bit lifeless.
So that experience with the 59 was not that good, the guitar didnt do it justice.
The dot it is cominf in is a good guitar though.

Well, been a week since i have my guitar back with the toneriders installed.
Pro's
-great clarity
-superb string defintion
-hot enough for classic rock, wouldn't put these in a guitar for metal but that's no surprise

Con's
-for the moment none

Are they better than 59's? I can't tell, hadn't had the chance to compare them in the same guitar.
What i do know is that you get good pickups for little money, and the really fit the dot sonically.
I had all the electronics upgraded with cts/switchcraft stuff and truly pleased with the result.

Glad it all worked out for you!
