I plugged mine in the other day and it sounded great, just with my crappy squier bass!! Great vintage tone, well it probably would have since it actually is vintage...
They were quite common here in the UK when I started playing guitar ('74). Nice amps. Some of the later models were solid state IIRC, but the tube ones sounded great!
Is the Dominator the model from whence the Marshall 18 Watter was, uh... borrowed? I had a pic of an older turquoise-vinyl Watkins around here somewhere, but I can't find it...
Yeah, it's a mk III. It's a tube and somewhat beefier and looks older thaan the ones on that page, bigger speaker aswell I reckon. Mine says 100 watt on the back:smack:
If I remember correctly there was a twin speaker model that had a V shaped cab that had a circuit very similar to the Vox 15 watt models. A number of the British invasion bands used them in the early days.
