I changed the strings and played unplugged and I'm impressed with the playability. The upper fret access is really good. I'm not fond of the bridge floating up like that. I'm planning on blocking it or something. I don't use tremolo bars. Do you have suggestions?

The intonation can use a lot of work.

The pickups are stock BKPs; ragnarock bridge and trilogy single coils. I haven't tried them yet although I've already considered SSL-2 and SH-55.

The neck smells like maple syrup.

I hope the intonation improves after I have a tech go over it. I will have it decked and, if needed, blocked too. I just can't keep it floating as the heel of my hand has always rested on every bridge of any guitar I have. My partscaster strat is decked and I wouldn't have it any other way. Mincer, isn't that why a lot of folks despise Kahler?

The intonation is so bad it's unpleasant to play up the fretboard. My other top guitars sound way better, especially my Gibson custom shop R7 that was adjusted PERFECTLY from the factory.

I hope I didn't just buy another guitar that will just stay untouched in my basement.

Is it that you can't set up the intonation yourself
Or
That it wont intonate and you have tried?

It shouldn't take more than twenty minutes with a tuner and a screw driver

Cool color and I always like the matching headstock look!

Kind of feel like I have shopped at the same store.

Also a bit curious if it truly is a maple syrup finish on the neck, or if it once resided in someone's Kitchen/Music Room.
