Your setup is oh so very close to mine....I Use the Vox AD 2x12 with V30s or my Marshall 4x12 with V30s,Plexitone pedal, wah,TS 808,DS1,and a RAT...

I basically use a very clean, fat, and full sounding BF 2x12 tone with a bit of reverb....I have my foot controller set up to add or subtract chorus and delay and the built in Univibe effects....Very versatile and I get great tone! Used this exact setup last night with my band...I still love this Vox VTH Head..Hard to beat it...It's really the versatility of the setup that I Love, but I get great tone also and with great control over my volume levels and no loss in gain! I use an Ernie Ball volume pedal as my master volume control hooked into the back of my VC-4 F/C...

Same one I use for everything, a Boogie Mark IIb.

Either with a TonlabeSE into the FX return, or pedals in the front with an EQ in the FX loop.

I'm building a closed back Thiel 1X12 for when I need more power, & I've been building a Delux clone for a few years, but I got lazy.

A Carvin Legacy 1/2 Stack. I'd like a Peavey Classic 30 for smaller gigs, though.

Re: What amp do you use for gigs?

I use my Mesa DC-5 for almost everything. If the gig needs more oomph I bring a second 1x12 cab. I have a pedalboard with most of my pedals on it, though for smaller stuff I might grab a few and throw them in a back pack.

I'm sorta revamping, though. I recently picked up a DSL50 and will probably get a 2x12 and use that for bigger rock gigs. I'm also trying to come up with a way to use the mesa and marshall at the same time. I'd only use this for high profile gigs that come with some road crew...

Re: What amp do you use for gigs?

Depends on which band.

Mesa Dual Rectifier and Marshall vintage quad
or
Vox AC15

Re: What amp do you use for gigs?

electric guitar signals go through a fender deluxe 90 (ss 1x12" combo) ... usually mic'd

piezo and guitar synth go through carvin ag-100D (1x12" and a horn tweeter) .. usually DI'd

the midi rig rarely gets turned on these days, let alone gigged

Re: What amp do you use for gigs?

My two crappy little amps (in stereo split off of a boss pedal) . . . :( Sounds fine I suppose, but I'm sure not playing very clean, can just barely keep up with the drums.

Re: What amp do you use for gigs?

Bogner Ecstasy 101B head with Bogner large 2-12 cab usually. I still prefer the sound of the 4-12 and use it only if it's appropriate.

The Bogner can literally do anything. I mostly use it's clean channel to sound like a big EL-34 Twin Reverb, the plexi channel to sound like a cranked vintage Marshall, and the red channel for a heavy rhythm tone. I use the Bogner's boosts or the Klon Centaur for leads. If I want extreme saturation, I can turn on the T. Rex Mudhoney, and single notes sustain forever until it cascades into feedback in the same note.

Re: What amp do you use for gigs?

I use a Rivera Suprema two-channel closed-back combo.

Great Amp....Very Versatile :smokin:

Re: What amp do you use for gigs?

i use a peavey xxl head with a carvin 2x12 cab. and sometimes i use a smarvo all tube head with the same cab but it depends on the venue.

For the few things i have done both rock and slightly jazz oriented church things my road king recto covers me for any tone i need.
