What are the best humbuckers for an SG

I have an SG special faded, i was wondering which humbuckers whould be the most suitable pickups to get for playing old rock(Led Zeppelin,AC/DC,GnR...that stuff. i like the sound that Gibson put on when i bought it new, but I just want to get upgraded..... :headbang: If u could help me out i'd appreciate it.....

A Pearly Gates set would cover most of that, or the Seth Lovers or Antiquities if you really want a vintage vibe.

A 59 set will get you closer to the Led Lep LP tones.

I'd agree with that. If you're looking to get similar tones out of your SG, look for pups that were made during that era by Gibson. PAFs, Super Humbuckers, etc. There wasn't a lot to choose from in those days.

if I had an SG, I'd probably put a '59 neck and Custom bridge in it
