What Are You Looking Foward To Seeing For 2016 From NAMM?

Re: What Are You Looking Foward To Seeing For 2016 From NAMM?

Doesn't look like there are any new striped series. Im kinda bummed they are expanding the special line so much and totally neglecting the USA line up

Are the Specials the cheap Chinese ones, or the ones made by Fender Mexico?

Im pretty sure the special line is all made in mexico now

Yes, it's Mexico.
Yep, they're made in Ensenada, now, and actually quite wonderful.

I just need to rob a bank.

I'm quite interested in the MIC Standards in Blueburst, Purpleburst, and Silverburst.

Ewww man. I'm a huge Hetfield fan and his old sigs are guitars I would have given up a testicle for, but I don't want anything to do with his guitars in the post-St. Anger era. The Truckster, Snakebyte, and now this look like total ass to me. I think his white Iron Cross is the only thing I would want, and even then if I was going to drop that kind of cash I'd just get a Suhr or something.

AceBob,

Didn't you make this guitar for about 15% of the cost?

I think I need one of the neon Charvels.

Id be all over the rocket red, but zebras...hideous.
I agree. If they were going to do that, I think they should have at least gone with the black and white. The cream just doesn't quite work in the context of the guitar.

What's the point?

Kirk says it gives him better grip. I've tried it and to no avail, but it doesn't mean it wouldn't work for someone else. Dunlop already sells these in the Kirk Hammett Signature Pick Tins, so I'm guessing that they want to make this profitable if they're going to keep making these picks, and not just for the tins.

I can see how that pick would work for someone that buries the pick all the way back into the first knuckle joint. However, I don't hold my pick that far back.

Looks like Friedman's got some cool new stuff. I'd like to check out the BE-OD.

Would be nice to see mini petals offered in full sized boxes, with the dip switches on the outside, so you could easily adjust them and the jacks on the end.

Every year I keep waiting for ART to bring back the Nightbass. Someday I know they will.

Re: What Are You Looking Foward To Seeing For 2016 From NAMM?

I assume you have one used already?

No, I just always thought it was cool. If I had one, I'd play the bass line from the last track on Surfing with the Alien until I died.

The... what?

Fender made a pair of shoes .... sneakers ... basketball boots. Probably in the late '80s/ early '90s. The ones I saw were red, my favourite kind of footwear. They were quite chunky, like real old school sneakers.

I need Fender Muso Boots and a Hoyer Foldaxe. It's really quite simple.
