ooo sweet! i actually have the bookelt thta comes with it, i just didnt remembre, lol...thanks man.....how do i get 19-24 onto mine?

Re: What are you using to record Bass?

They're already in there if you have version 2 of the J's firmware. When you turn the unit on, it shows a number before it goes to the preset it's on. That's the firmware revision. 2.0 was the last one before they stopped making them.

Re: What are you using to record Bass?

Fender Zone bass either DI into a Presonus Firebox or through a Vox Tonelab using the Bassman settings (tweed 4x10).

Re: What are you using to record Bass?

POD 2.0 ( yes the guitar version) works beautifully. I used it on almost all of my CD. You can dial in some gain and compress the crap out of it to get that awesome YES tone. I think I used some fender black face preset. As for the bass itself. I just have a crappy PV Precision copy I got for 100.00. It does the trick.

I use a wash-tub, a stick, and some spare wire.

Now that's more like it! I've been wondering how to get that early 1900's Mississippi Delta tone! Thanks! :laugh2:

Re: What are you using to record Bass?

I once recorded with from guitar --> digitech rp-7 tube preamp -->computer. Then pitchshifted down an octave with software. BEAT THAT!

Neeever again!!! Neveeeer again!!!

Re: What are you using to record Bass?

I use the modelling amp of my Boss drum machine. I believe it's like using the amp models of a GT-6B. Alternatively, I put a mike in front of my Roland Bass Cube (which uses the same amp models). I'm quite pleased with the results of both. Also, having an active bass really helps with the EQ bit.

Technically that would be baritone, not bass. :)

Yep, I can see no reason whatsoever to buy a Bass POD. I am using a POD XT and am very pleased with the bass sounds I am getting.:beerchug:

Re: What are you using to record Bass?

I only have 1 way to do it:

OPL ART Tube preamp. Into soundblaster audigy 2. Into cakewalk 3. From there I use a sonitus compressor and Amplitube "Mellow Pasterios" patch.
