It is interesting that different brands are really inconsistant. I have miked up a few brands and for example Ernie Ball 10's actually mike at slightly heavier than a 9. So I have elected to use D'Adarrio 11's (11 thru 49). They are really 11 also. I use these on ALL my electrics. Acoustics I use D'Adarrio J 17's (13 thru 56). I have been using these for several years now and see no reason to change. I don't break strings very often so they hold up well also.

Electric slide - EJ 22 - .13 to .56
Accoustic - EXP 11 - .12 to .53
Acoustic 12 - EXP 36 - .10 to .47

Used to use 11's but I switched back to 10's a couple years ago.

Dean Markley or DM Blue Steel 10-46 on my Strat and LP.
9-42 on my Kramer and homemade (soon going to 10's).
Martin SP Lights on my acoustic.
