What caps do you use? 0.020mf 0.050µF?

Also, what are the best caps to get and where? I'm wiring up my Strat from scratch and I'm almost finished. All I need is a capacitor and some extra circuit wires.

I use Orange Drops. .022 for humbuckers, .047 for my Tele, and .12 in the Strat.

I get them from my local shop, I'm not sure about online. You might want to check with Lew.

are orange drops ceramic or poly film

Poly. I don't like the way ceramics sound. It seems (to my ear) that poly is smoother around the edges of the high notes. It's very subtle, but it's there. Of course, it might all be in my imagination.

yea i bought the green poly film .047uf caps from guitar electronics for my strat. They sound real good.
A bit off the topic, but do you prefer tone on the middle or the bridge?

I like my middle pickup without a tone control and tone controls on my neck and bridge pickups.

.010 or .022 from Radio Shack. I I'm using .010 in my swamp ash strat, and I'm thinking about switching my other guitars to those lower value caps.
