Whelp I already ordered the pickguard and middle pickup. Just need to find a decent deal on a Demon for the neck and pony up the cash for a new 59/C because they're not too easy to find used, the the hardware and get working on the routes for the humbuckers.

EDIT: For anyone wondering, I'm going with option 1. See you on the other side

Go with #3 and use a Duncan Strat Lipstick tube pickup for the middle slot, just to complete the look. It'll be awesome.

I'd probably do a black guard myself, maybe even zebras and cream knobs for added tacky.

Why wouldn't you rout HSH? It's a AVRI after all.

Why not simply change to a body that is routed HSH or swimming pool to begin with? Leave the AVRI to do its SSS thing rather than mess with its existing natural resonance.

HSH is probably my least favorite configuration, so I voted for option 3, which best disguises the S in the middle.
