How does Seymour Duncan choose the codes for its pickups? Does APH mean "Alnico Pro Humbucker"? What does SH mean? Is "TB" for "Tremolo Bridge"?

Can anyone shed light on it?

Welcome Ted ! I can't do that to you, I just noticed your post count!

APH = Alnico Pro Humbucker (an A2 magnet humbucker / think Slash)
SH - Seymour Humbucker (which is all of them, really)
TB = Trem Bucker spacing. Poles are set for floyd/fender string spacing at the bridge.
