Most people will go through a lull in their lifetime with any hobby, sometimes its due to health problems or a family matter or its just your mind for a short time is not into it. You will come back to it at some point. One day you will be driving or watching television, possibly talking to someone , then all of a sudden something just clicks and gives you a kick start. Then bang your back at it. Let us know when you get that kick-start and get back to playing your axe.

Well Snoogles is still around He regained/retained his interest and probaably reguardless of whether he smelled or not.

I still perspire.. Just smell better.

Snoogles, what did you do to get thru this?

I once stopped for 11 years due to having kids and no gear. I bought a harmonica.. Still cant play that either. !$%#$!%!#!!

Take a break. Go see live music. Listen to something you'd never think you'd find yourself listening to. Usually, this feeling follows a period of picking up the guitar and playing the same stuff over and over. So if anyone finds themselves doing that, just stop. Abandon everything. Come up with a new vocabulary to express yourself. Learn a new technique. Try to pick every note, or avoid bending strings. Shake it up a bit- but you have to do it, as no one will do it for you.

to play guitar?
i look at my guitar standing in the corner, and i wouldn't even know what to do with it if i did pick it up and plug it in.

Take a break. Go find new music to listen to. Read a book.

I once stopped playing for 13 years. Won't do that again while my fingers still work.

work on vocals

if not inpsired musically at all, then dont play. do something else.
