What do you guys think of the new generation of little big amps ?

Re: What do you guys think of the new generation of little big amps ?

My 28W Cicognani Brutus Live is bigger sounding than most big amps (& it's actually loud as hell too) ..really lives up to it's name & sounds massive :bigthumb:

Thrashy rhythm on Lead 2 Channel (switching between the 3 presence presets)

& on Lead 1 it's brighter/more Marshall-like.. SWEET lead tones..

Cleans/crunch sound gorgeous too..what a killer little head...I'm actually just getting the hang of it and all the killer tones it can produce..

I've used it for 3 of my last 4 gigs and it just roars/crushes onstage..sounds so massive everyone wants to know what the hell it is haha.. it totally destroys the JCM 900's/Peavey XXX's etc that the other bands have mostly been using....I kid you not ;)

My Jim Root Orange Terror sounds great cranked and its very loud for 15 watts/7 watts. Thus I can't really use it for the home unless I use my Weber Mini-mass, and that doesn't really let it shine though. For recording sure you can isolate it in a room or an isocab and tell everyone in the house and neighbors you are recording. Yes it does sound like a rockverb with a little more bass and gain.

After jonesing for a valvelike amp, finally saved for a Hughes&Kettner Grandmeister 40 Deluxe. Hopefully will have it by Xmas.
