my 50w, non master-volume bassman. hahaha

i'm trying to come up with a solution for when i'm at my apartment though. I'm thinking of grabbing a fender champ 600.

Vox Valvetronix or PODxt. (Not in a bedroom, but capable of being played at bedroom levels nonetheless. They're what I play when I don't want to wake the baby.)

Laney LC15R... and soon when I want to play at night I'll use A Vox amplug AC30. It's gonna be great fun.

POD Pro --> ART SGX 2000 Express (for 24-bit delays or Reverbs) --> valvestate Marshall VS 120/120 Pro --> stereo Marshall 1960 w Vintage 30's. nice and thick.

What distortion pedals do you use? I can get a VC15 or LC15R pretty cheap used, I am thinking about one of those as bedroom amps.. Do you need to crank it or does it sound good on low volumes?

I have a Princeton Reverb on the way, it should be a bit more reasonable.

This begs the question, what is bedroom volume? I live with guitar playing roommates, so it's not like I have to worry about them... I can get good tones at loud bedroom volumes with the abovementioned amps. For quiet playing I still have my Zoom 505 into the soundcard from eons ago. Perfect for headphone stuff late at night as well as quick demo stuff.

Vox DA5, Fender Champ 600, or POD xt.

The Vox does that over indulgent hairmetal sound pretty well lol, and the Champ for clean stuff. The POD if I want to use headphones.

If I were to going to gig seriously I wouldlook into a Mesa 5:50 or not so seriously probably a Vox Valvetroix.

I used to use a POD XT through a Marshall TSL601 when I was back in Greece..

They sound good at low volume, but they ARE valve amps and will wound better when louder.

My metal distortion is an AMT Dist machine, my medium gain is a SD1, my Marshall sound is a Plexitone and my low gain is the Bad Monkey.

I also have the amp's distortion channel.
