What do you know about the Mesa DC-2?

I found one for a steal, but know nothing of them. Not a whole lot about them online. What I can find doesn't really tell me much about them.

So, what say you? Are they good amps?

Mesas really benefit from the 5 band EQ. I'd try to find a DC-3 or DC-5. (Although an MXR 10 band in the loop would work fine.)

The whole DC series are fantastic, underrated amps. Basically a stripped-down Mark-style Mesa in a variety of wattages.

I had a DC-3 as my main amp for some of my most active years. It started my devotion to the Mark-style Mesa.

I use a DC-5 most of the time. I have mixed feelings about that amp. Sometimes it sounds great, and sometimes it sounds flat. It's all in the EQ (both knobs and sliders), I think.

Yeah but they can be quite boxy and stiff at reasonable volumes.

True, they don't "breathe" and react as perfectly as a real Mark, but for way less cash they'll get very close.

Hey,if it's "that" cheap,at least check it out.

Seems like an easy flip if you don't like it...
