Well, i made a drum track in Anvil Studio (midi program), and then played it with Steinberg Groove Agent. It's a couple of 7\8 beat metal patterns, which i wrote "note-for-note".

I'm pretty happy with how it sounds, let me hear your opinions! Any critisicm would be good. After all, this is the first time i tried making something with Anvil Studio and Steinberg Groove Agent.

Thanks for listening!

I dig it. It sounds lacking in some parts, but of course you're trying to do expressive drumming on a machine, so that's going to happen. It's really good for what it is, though.

Re: What do you think of these drums?

Thanks!

Well, you see... i cannot adjust the invidual note volume on Anvil Studio, so i had to use Groove Agent's "humanizer" setting, which randomizes the volume of each note. :)

Even still, it sounds forced and lacks expression. Despite that, it's still damn good. I think the best thing you could do is get Drumkit From Hell. That's better, if you ask me. But, what you have there is decent, and will certainly work for making backing tracks to share clips with your forum bros.

Re: What do you think of these drums?

Your reply is greatly appreciated! :)

Yes, i'm gonna record some stuff over it when i get my bass, guitar and other gear over to where i currently live (here :p). In the meanwhile, feel free to borrow the clip, if you want!

I would, but I have no way to record at the moment. I need to get some more gear before I can record, anyway. I'm getting a couple of tube driven pedals, so we'll see once I get those, and Line 6 TonePort to record with. :bigthumb:

very good bass drum .snare is to high for this kind of drumming ,and the hi-hat is really crap. But with battery2 and drumkit from hell you can make it very good. You know how to make drumtrack ,so only the medium u use is your border.

Thanks for the input, DB!

Well, after all, Steinberg Groove Agent is a cheap-ass program. Thinking about getting something better... might get DFH sometime! :)
