what does "CE" mean

what does the "CE" sticker i see on alot of neckplates... i always thought it had something to do with it being an import.... but i have been seeing it on USA made fenders also.

Actually I think it is the Canadian version of UL

It's the European equivalent of USA "UL" and the Canadian "CSA" safety and environmental rating system.

This means that the product is compliant with the european registration.
You can't sell equipment without this compliance logo in Europe.
