What Fender Tube Amp do you use?

Re: What Fender Tube Amp do you use?

:laugh2:

They messed up specs. There's no way that you can squeeze 45 watts out of a pair of 6v6s :chairfall

Re: What Fender Tube Amp do you use?

65 Fender Champ for recording (awesome) and a 59 bassman clone custom job in a 2X12 tweed cab with Mercury trannies, Sozo caps, G12H30 and Cannibus Rex speakers. Incredible for blues at lower volumes with that sweet grind. Sounds like a Marshall early 70s amp cranked--but I never get to use it that way--and just LOVES my Plexitone and Vox Bulldog.

Re: What Fender Tube Amp do you use?

'71 Bassman Export through a Marshall JCM C212 cab (1 V30 & 1 EVM 12L).

Showoff! ;)

I use a Super Reverb Reissue like you, Stratcat, but I'm hoping to have a Celtic in my arsenal soon. You hear that, Fitzy?

Re: What Fender Tube Amp do you use?

I own and have used the following amps.
Bassman AB 165 circuit
Bandmaster Reverb
Vibroverb
Super Reverb
Deluxe Reverb
Champ (Miked into the PA)
Princeton
Princeton Reverb (1967 tube model, not that re-issue junk)
Blues Jr

Currently, Holland Little Jimi and Celtic Edana

HOWEVER, I am looking for smaller sixzed amps that can handle Blues, R&B, and R&R and not kill my back...

Re: What Fender Tube Amp do you use?

depending on the gig; a tweed Deluxe, a tweed Pro, a tweed Twin, a 3x10' Bandmaster, or a Pro Reverb...they're just player amps, but they do a great job at what they do.
