Supers sound fabulous but are too dang loud for my kind of gigging. Anyone out there use one for gigs on a regular basis? Where are you setting your volume? I can't get mine past "3" without getting clocked over the head with an unopened Colt 45.

How about a 22 Watt Deluxe Reverb?

'68 Fender Bassman head, through a Sonic (Vox style) 2x12 closed back cab w/Eminence Pvt Jacks. It is not my main rig, but it does work darn well!

I own a Drip Edge Super Reverb and a Drip Edge Deluxe Reverb. I use both of them depending on where I am playing. I prefer the Super Reverb over the Deluxe. More headroom and better over all tone, but the amp is heavy as heck!. I just bought a Bogner Shiva and I have to say the cleans on the Shiva are as good if not better than any Fender I have ever played thru!. That being said I have had my Super Reverb for about 16 years and the Deluxe for about 3. I will never ever sell the Super. The Deluxe is also an excellent amp under the right circumstances!

Do modelled versions count? :laugh2: My Vox AD50 has models of the Twin and Bassman. I love the Bassman model and use it regulary. If I was to get a REAL Fender amp, it would be a Bassman, no doubt. I love the Twins too. And yes, I have played real ones.

I have 2 Fender amps a 1967 Deluxe Reverb Drip edge, which is a first issue Sliver face and I have a 68 Super Reverb that I have had forever. Also a Drip edge which I will never sell. I love my Super Reberb!:fingersx:

I am using the Reissue, I used to have a vintage one, but like a fool I sold it.

A blonde Blues Deluxe from '95 - best amp I ever owned. I've heard the recent reissues aren't as good, but I've never played one so that may just be the usual 'original' snobbery that gets bandied about...
