Psst...Soldano made, but greedy Gibson gets the credit and money. :laugh2:

Re: What Gibson didn`t want people to see, unless you were an invitee

that amp is the most hideous thing ever. goldtop guitars are bad enough, why have an amp that looks that awful too...blech.

Re: What Gibson didn`t want people to see, unless you were an invitee

Once again Mincer and I are on oppsoite sides of the spectrum, imagine that?

The HSH is a copy of one of John Lennon's guitars isn't it?

the HSH 335 is Alvin Lee! That is just like the 335 he played at woodstock, except I think it was Green at the time, but I could be wrong...

ehhh.........I like the Old, Original Gibson amps.

Gibson Alvin Lee Signature

Re: What Gibson didn`t want people to see, unless you were an invitee

No offense meant, but that LP looks gross. A trem does not belong on a LP! the amp iskind of cool though haha

Re: What Gibson didn`t want people to see, unless you were an invitee

I think that amp looks phenomenal.

And isn't that more of a copper top? (vs. Gold top). I've always liked copper tops, but never did care for the goldies (heresy, I know).

I do know that I'm starting to get some serious GAS for a Soldano. But I'm sure this thing will be outrageously priced.

Re: What Gibson didn`t want people to see, unless you were an invitee

I think the amp looks fantastic, but a Les Paul with any trem other than a Bigsby is sacrilege.

Ah well I had one with a floyd as well, mean machine for sure....don't care what he does to it, Mr Schon always had some good sounds.

BTW...am I crazy or what? I could have swarn that Alvin had a Green 335 too...same mods, no stickers
haven't seen him with a green one myself

it's pretty amazing - I read through his site not long ago, and he still plays "Big Red" - the one he played at Woodstock - but doesn't tour with it due to its value - he said he's been offered crazy money for that ax!

I saw Alvin in a small club about 10 years ago. He was using a red Heritage at the time. Despite his fame, I read that he grew weary of the "big stage" with TYA, and preferred just playing the blues in small clubs.

I would LOVE to see him...I know that since the late 70's there have been tons and tons of scary fast guitar players but IMO AlvinLee is a monster player!!! His set from Woodstock still makes my jaw drop!!!
