I played the Parker today, it was underwhelming with gain. I think it is because i have been playing super hot pickups for the past year or so.

cheapo Amazon pickup

The set was $19 , I think.

It's literally the most comfortable guitar to play seated.

Do you wear a strap when you practice sitting down? I'm always a strap guy, and I like to wear it relatively high up, so I don't know if I'd find it comfortable to play a V sitting down. But I can certainly imagine how you'd hold it, with the headstock tilted up and your knee bracing the V between the points.

Generally no strap when I'm seated, because I play "slung low", and the strap doesn't do anything while I'm seated.... It's too long.

Right. I can't deal with slung low -- have to have it mid-torso, so playing a V seated probably wouldn't be my comfort zone. But it's a great-looking instrument and I'm sure it sounds killer.
