you may be right

There are some beautiful guitars in this thread. Steve, I love that axe

I spent a lot more than I was planning on when I bought the 716, but every time I pick it up it feels like it was worth it. The bigger body adds more low end and volume than is typical for Taylors, but keeps the easy playing feel. Unfortunately they seem to have discontinued the model, which was a Lutz spruce top and rosewood sides/back.

These twos

Left 1986 MIJ Fujigen '72 reissue limited, FS1 bridge + 2 SSL1 (My very first guitar, I bought it in' 88)

Right partscaster with Franchin (Italian luthier) body, old warmoth neck, SSL5 bridge + 2 SSL1

Nice!

Are you happy with that Franchin body?

I came close to pulling the trigger on a Franchin body myself a few years back but ended up getting an unfinished body from the UK instead.

Ok is there a difference between the Italian strat copy body
and the UK strat copy body

Aren't they both copies of the Fender/Squire bodies?

Smae neck pockets ?
Same upper horn?
Same tummy cut?

Same random pickup routes?

I don't know about the UK body, the italian bodies I have are pretty standard with vintage specs, the only thing that could be less common on the strat body is the edge profile radius, it's not 1/2, it's something less rounder, anyway very close indeed, Iread that some vintage fender body had this less rounded radius, maybe they took this kind for the CNC input

Yep.
Price and finish would be the primary ones.
The forearm and tummy cuts are also almost certainly different also.

Finally got the Bluesbucker / Super D in the Bonamassa. It sounds great, but I'm now thinking I should have gone for the nickel covered bridge.
