What guitar are you playing today?

Yeah I like Gatsby’s too. GS are just great quality, functional guitars although they do have some quite fancy looking LP types. I’m currently watching a GS2, if it doesn’t go too high I might make a bid. I missed a newish (2021/2022) GS1 that had a Korina body and an Ebony board, would have loved it but I missed the end of the listing 🤬
Agree, for the money especially they're great (used even more so), and quite customisable with the woods, pu configs, hardware etc. My mate's newest one is all korina and it's slick. I'd like to try the Grandé, it could be an LPish style guitar I may get along with . Good luck with the hunt ;).

I first learned about GS in the late 90s - Guitarist magazine reviewed a GS2 which, unusually, had a solid spruce body and a curly maple top!

The Auden acoustics, which are under the same umbrella of ownership, seem really good too. Years ago I played some at a show and was pretty impressed by the parlour model and a 12 string cedar/rw dread.

It’s weird. My #1 typically gets 95-98% of my playing. It was the only guitar I used on our last album.

Yet the songs on the album we currently are recording seem to call for #2, which is featured in my avatar. I’m adding tracks w/ #1, but the main tracks for 11/12 songs will be #2.

I gave her new strings and a polish last night. We are recording song #7 this week.

So, to answer your question: #2.

Played the Washburn Silverado out today for the first time in Church with the full Scooped Strat set. REALLY liking these pickups in this particular guitar!!
Did some ambient solo improv stuff at the end of the Service today, and they killed running clean with my PRS Custom 50 head and the Alabs Ceetus verb in the loop.

washburn wms with a seth set into a very nice '64 princeton reverb into a v30. sounded glorious! volume 7, treble 7, bass 3.5, reverb 3. the v30 has a lot more body and volume than the combo's 10" jensen for sure

Al Di Meola bridge. Normally they come with gold polepieces. Phenomenal pickup. Best I can describe it is if a 36th anniversary and Air Zone had a kid

Also it's in C# at the moment.

Finally received a DiMarzio order I've been waiting on and tonight finally had the chance to install the Chopper T into my baritone thinline. At the same time I removed the 3-barrel bridge in favor of the more modern 6-saddle to help with intonation. Put it through the paces tonight and the Chopper T is definitely going to work out better than the Area T 615 that used to be in this guitar.
