What guitar are you playing today?

Thanks, it’ll be an ‘83 or ‘84 as they only made them for about a year. I always wanted one back in the day as Gary Moore played one for a while.
That's what I was thinking. I remember the ads from Guitar Player Magazine back then- I always thought they were really cool.

Played around on the Strandberg tonight looking to find some settings to reign in the bridge pickup (Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic). I've long reached the conclusion that the ceramic version of the Moderns is not at all my thing. Time to test the neck, which is the alnico version, in the bridge before writing off the Fishmans.

I forgot I had this old boy, I bought it in bits but everything was there except for the trem bar. It was really scratched up so I removed the PU finish on the back and sides, stained it with a kind of white wash finish and had the front polished by a local car shop. Hell yes. I looked for one some years ago, but gave up because they got expensive! But I have an RG410, which takes care of the single hum itch.

Gary actually played an RS1000 for a minute, which has two Super 58s ;).

My Indo Ibanez Saber Premium with a Dmz Tone Zone bridge pup, True Velvet single coil in the middle & Air Norton in the neck...it has a slightly darker, warmer/deeper tone than my other S Series axes...

Playing-wise ...eh it's a Saber. What do you expect??

Needed a string change badly.....but now it's singing 🤘

I paid $515 for it at a local pawn shop

It's nearly perfect .

Testing a new pickguard on my white mahogany Warmoth/Fender strat. Pickguard is loaded with a DiMarzio Fred and PAF Joe. I don't know why I continue to use this body as a test bed for pickguard swaps, as I don't think I'll ever find a guard that I like better than the blue shell loaded with a Crazy 8 and Cool Rails (pictured in front of the pedal board). So, this guard is more than likely temporary. It was late last night when I tested it so I played through the Neural DSP SLO-100X. Today it's getting the Friedman treatment.

Sorry, yes I meant he played the RS line, the RS1000 and a RS520 or 530 I think.

Yeah they have certainly gotten pricey, I’ve recent been looking for a blue Lukather model. Not sure they are worth the asking price tbh.
