Re: what guitar polish do you use?

I use trick polish as a cleaner. I've never really tried to buff up the finish, just get any stuff off the neck.

Re: what guitar polish do you use?

I have some Martin polish. I almost never use it though. Usually if there's something on the finish, a damp rag or paper towel gets rid of it. I don't think polish is really meant as a cleaner. Those lacquer finishes on Gibsons and earlier Hamers can be kind of touchy.

Interesting subject I guess. I'm pretty sure I've seen advice on cleaning nitro lacquer. I just don't remember what it was.

Virtuoso polish and cleaner. I first heard about it at the Les Paul Forum when I was looking for something to clean some dull patches caused by sweat. Couldn't get those off with other cleaners/polishes I tried.

It's excellent - give it a try!

I use Ken Smith polish. It works well, and doesn't streak like some polishes do. Dunlop, polish also works well.

Sprinter

For Heavy dirty guitars, I use 3M Cleaner wax, medium. It cuts through a lot of gunk well. For regular polishing I use Pledge.

I use Martin polish. Or whatever is handy.

Polish ? Whats that stuff for ?

I thought the rage was all about taking a belt sander to the guitar these days to get that "relic" look lol

Re: what guitar polish do you use?

I use Kyser polish.

I rub the guitar over with a damp cloth, then dry, then polish.

Re: what guitar polish do you use?

I've got martin guitar polish that I use occasionally. Lately I've been lazy, so I've been using the old-fashioned polish known as sweat. The haze on my LP is never coming off.

Re: what guitar polish do you use?

It will with Virtuoso cleaner!

Eh, I'm not concerned anymore... when the haze didn't come out with a machine polish I pretty much accepted the fact that it wasn't going anywhere. I assume the sweat has chemically changed the clear coat... it might buff out if I tried a blush eraser, but I'm beyond the babying stage. Let her age, I say.

Let her age, I say.

That's cool.

But if you change your mind...... :)

I'd reached the point of thinking the haze would never come off my Standard, having tried several different products. A rub with Virtuoso cleaner did shift it though.

I liked it so much I bought the company :D

I use Ernie Ball guitar polish with fender polishing cloths

Re: what guitar polish do you use?

I haven't polished a guitar in three years, but I bought a bottle of the dunlop 65 with my Jazzmaster.
