What happens if I connect the internal wires of a humbucker wrong

The series link is supposed to be the finish of each coil, I think? One coil start is hot, the other coil start is ground.
I broke the wires on one coil of a humbucker. Because of the way they broke I can't tell which wire goes where.
I got it soldered and I'm reading 8KΩ which is correct, but what if I soldered a start to a finish?

Same winding direction and opposite polarity for the 2 coils is out of phase and not hum cancelling.

Thanks. If it's wrong it will be a weak output and buzz like a single coil.
