Mesa Boogie Throttle Box + Poulin LE456 + Amplitube 4 cab simulations (or ownhammer/redwirez impulses)

It will improve something in the sound having a real good quality distortion pedal like this? or better i stick to simulated pedals?

To play what flavor of music?

Any distortion pedal should work- you are limited by the preamp sims and cab sims you can afford. I tend to like real preamps going int cab sims (like the Palladium), so you may have to go through a few to find the right one for you.

you are saying that i better get that palladium instead of the distortion pedal? or both?

but really it will improve the tone?

Buying a quality high-gain pedal is never not a good idea. I can vouch personally for the Throttle Box. It does well with my hardware cabinet emulator, though I don’t know about digital sims.

I use a Blackstar HT Dual into a clean amp sim on my Line 6 HD500, and I like it better than any on the high gain tones I’ve gotten straight from the modeler.

Throttle Box is a good pedal, IMO it's worth it to spend the extra money on the one with the 5 band EQ
