Right now, the only pedalboard I can speak of is a collection of pedals I use with my Tool band. For the time being, I'm just going like this:
Gibson Les Paul > MXR Micro Amp > Boss BF-3 Flanger > Ernie Ball VP Jr. > Mesa Single Rec
Once I get the effects loop modified, I'll put a Boss DD-3 in there. I also have a Teese RMC-3 I'll start using once we get to songs that require it.

Hellcat or Mk50 Footswitch in center.
Quite simple, but very effective... only the DD3 will be changed if I can find a nice analog pedal... maybe a Retrosonic?

the mark I pedal board is gone, in its place is the mkII version which is getting closer. besides the barber and h&k which get their own power supplies everything is on a voodoo lab pedal power II
barber ltd (at 18v) -> dual loop pedal -> sd pup booster
loop 1- vox valve tone -> timmy -> boss oc2
loop 2- sd shape shifter, h&k rotosphere, line 6 echo park
i dont use it much, mostly for trio gigs where i feel i need to have more going on. the only thing i dont really like is the echo park but for the amount of time i actually use the delay it will work for now.

Update.
To ease in the setup/teardown for gigs, I've incorporated my board again. It holds a tuner, amp footswitch and my Rangemaster clone (which I use mostly with my SSS Strat). I used my Phase 90 last Sat night for my lead parts in Hotel California and You Really Got Me, but then it pretty much sat there but the buffer I added at the output came in to good use driving the cable back to the amp. I'm planning on getting a Pedaltrain JR since it's way more durable than what I'm using right now.

I certainly do, Keith! Having used the same guitar and amps for so long, I've become fairly attuned to subtle and not-so-subtle changes in my rig, so things like patch cable become instantly obvious. I had George L's on there for quite a while, and then I was offered some Core X-2 to try out by the Australian distributor. The benefits were immediately obvious, the over-hyped top end was gone, and a sweetness in the mids had returned, so I decked out the whole board with it, as well as the longer cable from the guitar and to the amp. The only exception was the loop cable to the DE-7, coz it sounded better with the George L's. Oh, and the out to the tuner. It makes my tuner sound much better!

It amazes me that someone can be so fine-tuned into their rig that they are able to notice the subtle differences among patch cables -- even to the point that this patch cable sounds better with this pedal, but not that pedal.

Yes, well they say that Eric Johnson can hear the difference between types of paint used to coat the inside of the doors in venues and studios where the wood is aged past a certain point, and that he can hear when a discarnate spirit passes between the narrow space between speaker cabinet and microphone. However, unlike Eric, I do my own laundry.
I found that the patch cable question became more critical going into the front of overdrive and distortion pedals. The George L's gave a kind of glassiness to the overdrive sound that I really didn't like, whereas going into a delay set to "tape echo" mode, it was actually an advantage. It could also be the case that I just have way too much time on my hands, and should maybe consider just growing up and getting a real job.

i did some experimenting myself recently and there is a very noticable difference between cables. the monster studio 1000 definitly sounds thicker than george l's and the bigger george l's is a little less glassy than the thinner one.
what chip do you use in your timmy, the stock one or something else? i like the rc 4558 or lm146? the best, a little smoother and wider sounding.

I haven't tried any other chips in Timmy, I must admit I like what the little guy does just as his maker intended. I'd be interested to hear the difference though.
