What is Pete Willis playing in this video?

Two thoughts [since we are now far off the original question]
1) What the ever-living f*ck are they wearing! Looks like a bad Styx video!
2) That song sounds like UFO. A lot.

Let me pile on...Savage is wearing Phil Moog striped pants.

If you think that sounds like UFO, check out Rock Brigade from the same album. The solo section sounds lifted straight out of a UFO song but I can’t put a finger on which one.

Side note: you can see Pete’s guitar better but I still have NO idea what it is, aside from a not-Melody Maker.

That still sounds very good to me. They were great at such an early age. Very marketable.
Too bad Mutt changed their music DNA sequence.
Im a Viv Campbell fan & i do like all the years of the band but to me after Hysteria & Adrenalize i just lost interest however .....

This song is cool af.

That is a great freaking song. Like others have said the first three albums didn't have a bad song. Now the albums have one or two decent tunes. But yeah man when they hit they hit, they are Def Leppard.

Saw Hysteria in the round when it came out. Some of the tune just plain ROARED off the stage. Hit & Run, Let It Go, Rock Rock, more...

Definitely off an MM or someone's copy there of. Looks set neck in a few shots so might be a Gibby totally gone over.

Loved this band till he left, once Steve passed I lost interest

As for the questionable fashion sense. They loved Glam so they were definitely leaning on some of the sillier outfits, Sweet style

Possibly a modified Gordon-Smith

Close but I think all DC150's were 24 fret and most had a TOM and stoptail.

I like the Gordon Smith idea, had forgotten about them. This has a lightly thicker body than an MM and it makes a lot of sense. In early DL pics of Pete with this guitar it looked dark mahogany or possibly cedar.

The body shape and headstock are right. I think we have an answer.

Although Hamer made a DC called "the Special", and Pete 100% played the Hamer explorer clone model

But the more I look at that previous pic, it just says "1st run 70's DC150".

But Wattage is right - they were 24 frets. But the body is right.

Maybe Pete had a custom made?

At that point Pete still had his E2 Explorer and Steve still used his Ibanez LP, the Hamers were just around the corner.

Wish I could find a better pic of the headstock just can't blow those things up enough. I've seen that weird little diamond inlay before but where, I don't know.

Headstock pic with a bit of the logo (the glare from lights is about to become bright though).

Looks like (as mentioned before) a plain diamond.

I am sticking with Gibson or an MIJ copy, possibly an Epi Olympic

Who knows but if you get anyone of those things and refin and rout you'd be as close as necessary
